Payment methods
RingSync offers two payment modes, chosen at subscription activation:
Card or SEPA Direct Debit (self-service)
You are redirected to a Stripe Checkout page where you can enter a credit/debit card or set up a SEPA Direct Debit mandate. Stripe handles payment method storage securely — RingSync never sees your card details.
No charge is made at activation. The first invoice is issued automatically at the end of your 14-day trial, for the number of active seats at that time.
Subsequent charges are annual. Mid-period seat additions are billed as prorated line items on your next invoice.
Invoice / bank transfer (Net 30)
Designed for organisations that cannot use a card or SEPA mandate (public sector, large enterprises with purchase order workflows, etc.).
At activation, you enter your billing details (company name, address, VAT number). An annual subscription is created in Stripe Invoicing with collection_method: send_invoice. The invoice is not sent immediately — it is issued automatically at the end of the trial, payable within 30 days.
If an invoice is not paid within 30 days, a reminder is sent at day 7 and day 15. At day 30, access is suspended. See Suspension policy for details on data retention.
Finding your invoices
- Sign in to the back office as an Owner or Admin.
- Go to Account → Usage.
- Scroll to the Billing history section. Each invoice row shows the issue date, amount, status (paid / open / overdue), and a Download PDF link.
If you need invoices to be sent to a different email address, contact support via the contact page.
Providing a VAT number
EU businesses: you can provide your VAT identification number to have it included on invoices and, where applicable, to enable the reverse-charge mechanism.
- Go to Account → Usage → Billing details.
- Click Edit billing details.
- Enter your VAT number in the Tax ID field (format: country code + number, e.g.
FR12345678901). - Click Save. The number is validated in real time against the EU VIES database. If validation fails, the number is still saved but will appear as "unverified" on invoices until it can be confirmed.
If your organisation is located outside the EU, leave the Tax ID field blank. Applicable taxes (if any) are determined by Stripe based on your billing address country.
Changing your payment method
To update your card or SEPA mandate, go to Account → Usage → Payment method and click Update payment method. You are redirected to a Stripe-hosted page to add or replace your payment method.
To switch from card/SEPA to invoice billing (or vice versa), contact support via the contact page. Switching modes mid-period requires a manual adjustment.
Changing your plan
To upgrade or downgrade your plan:
- Go to Account → Usage.
- Click Change plan.
- Select the target plan. The UI will warn you if your current usage exceeds the limits of the target plan (you must reduce usage before downgrading).
- Confirm. Plan changes take effect immediately. Upgrades are prorated; downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
