Quickstart
Deploy in under 10 minutes
This is the fast path. Each step links to the detailed guide if you need it.
Have your directory admin credentials ready: a Global Administrator account for Entra ID, or a Super Admin for Google Workspace.
1. Create your back-office account
Sign in to the RingSync back office. The first sign-in silently creates your organization and makes you its owner. No plan or trial is active yet — that starts when you connect your first directory.
2. Connect a directory
From the onboarding screen, choose your provider:
- Microsoft Entra ID — pick Shared mode for a one-click admin consent, or Custom mode to register your own app. Full steps: Connecting Entra ID.
- Google Workspace — use a dedicated Service Account with domain-wide delegation, or Sign in with Google. Full steps: Connecting Google Workspace.
Connecting your first directory starts your 14-day Starter trial.
3. Authorize the users who may sync
Only people you explicitly authorize can use RingSync for a directory.
- Entra ID — assign users or groups to the RingSync enterprise application (
appRoleAssignmentRequiredis enforced). RingSync pulls these assignments automatically; use Refresh to pull immediately. - Google Workspace — set the authorized seats in the workspace settings (whole domain, or specific Google groups).
4. Deploy the mobile app and run the first sync
Get the RingSync mobile app installed on the target devices — by link, QR code or MDM: see Deploy the app. Each employee taps Continue with Microsoft (or Google), sees the directories they're authorized for, and taps a directory to sync. The first run is a full sync; subsequent runs are incremental.
Contacts now appear in the phone's native address book, tagged to that directory. See How sync works to understand incremental syncs and de-provisioning.
